Angela Jean Gough and Donald Ray Gough, Chambers County Fire Accident Death: Commumity Mourn

Deputies were dispatched to the scene around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports that the residence was fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews responded alongside law enforcement and began efforts to extinguish the blaze and secure the area.

Once the fire was brought under control, authorities conducted a search of the residence. During that process, two individuals were found inside. They were later identified as Angela Jean Gough and Donald Ray Gough. Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire. Investigators are currently examining the scene, collecting evidence, and working with fire officials to establish how the incident began and progressed.

At this time, no additional information has been released regarding contributing factors or whether the fire is considered accidental or otherwise. The investigation remains active under the direction of the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
