Larry W. Melton, Car Accident Death Obituary: The Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on April 28 along Little Calf Pasture Highway in Augusta County.

According to officials, troopers responded at approximately 4:10 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving a single vehicle about 2.3 miles south of Old Parkersburg Turnpike. When emergency personnel arrived, they discovered that the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as Larry W. Melton, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
